I have time for 3 sentences.

Dawn and I are having Spiderman Mac and Cheese for dinner tonight and we are pretty excited about it.

Our ceiling in our dorm room is leaking and it looks like the liquid that comes out of a colostomy bag.

Valentine's Day is coming up, anybody need a date?

Work and School

Work------
Things are getting much easier now that I am getting used to the way things run at a hospital.
Well, that is only a partial truth because the actual requirements of the job are sometimes, or most of the time, pretty intense...changing depends on patients who do not respond well to my request for them to roll onto their side (making the job of changing the depends incredibly difficult), cleaning up massive amounts of blood after a patient yanks his catheter out (ouch!!!), taking patients who are literally insane outside to smoke (lots of smoke-yuck-but lots of laughs because crazy people are hilarious!), and constantly running all over the floor fetching things for patients, family members, nurses, or other techs on top of my other duties such as taking vital signs and checking blood glucose levels...
It's alot of work and I definitely feel like I have earned my paycheck at the end of each very long day, but I really like what I am doing. Of course, when it comes time for me to go in to work, I don't jump for joy and squeal like a 7-yr-old birthday girl as she unwraps a bight pink package with a huge polka dot ribbon on top, but I like it. No one WANTS to go to work (at least not most people, maybe Bethany Gilpin but she is just weird :) jk) but once I get there I feel so useful. I love helping people and being there when they need me. It feels good; and that part totally makes it worth all the other stuff!! Haha

School--------
I am taking 5 classes again this semester. Anatomy, Chemistry, English, Spanish, and History. Anatomy will be basically the same as last semester: same teacher, same expectations.
Chemistry will be different this time around. Organic Chemistry has alot less math, which is good, but the homework is set up different. My teacher seems good though.
English will be English. Writing and reading...
Spanish will be the same as last semester; it should be pretty easy.
And History---Dawn and I are in the same class so that will be fun, but there is going to be lots of reading!!! Ahhh I hope it is interesting because I am not the biggest reader out there. I like to write though and the class has a pretty good decent amount of writing, too, so maybe it will be okay :) Hagan had the same teacher that we do (Ireland) and he said he is great, so I hope so.

It should be a busy semester, but hey, hard work produces a good work ethic and strong character.

Helpful Tips for the Day

#1 Always write everything down because your memory is not dependable. You may have to take a whole set of vital signs two times in a row on a none-too-excited patient.

and #2 Do NOT use the bathroom before going to the doctor's office because they may want you to pee in a cup. Not a good situation. No fluid inside the body=no fluid inside the cup.
