Judgement House
Judgement House starts Saturday night and this event really needs your prayer. There are so many dedicated people involved in this-It blows my mind to see all that these people are doing. They have given up enormous amounts of time out of their busy lives to help bring this together. (I am a bad participant...they asked Dawn and I to help out a very long time ago and we didn't contact anyone until this week! Ah.)
When Porter first started talking about doing this, I was a little unsure about it. I had a pretty bad attititude towards the whole thing, but they asked me to be involved, so of course I said I would. I have heard so much this week about what God is doing to help make this possible...just different things : needs that have been met when it seemed impossible, timing, money, participation from the church body...it really sounds like this is something God is going to greatly bless.
Pray for the people involved, pray for the technical stuff, pray for the people who will be going through and hearing the gospel message. I am very excited to see how God uses Judgement House.

i'll admit, I was sketchy about the whole thing at first too... but wow, THIS THING HAS SOME SERIOUS POTENTIAL!!!! (not b/c of us, but because I can already see Him at work through it all...)

I have to say that I am tired. This week has worn me out. I was skeptical of Judgment House, still have my reservations, but God has done some great things through it.
I had lunch with a guy named George that surrendered to Christ on Monday (I hate the phrase "prayed to recieve" as if Christ is trying to kick down the door to your heart and can't! He is all powerful). The guys didn't make a decision because he was afraid of going to Hell, but because he wanted to live for Jesus. That is awesome.
But so many other aspects were beneficial. People served who never serve, people had the chance to build and strengthen relationships, and people had a chance to pray together. Great time!
Sarah, you and Dawn don't be practicing for next years party scene.

And that is so great to hear. I think that is why alot of people were skeptical about Judgement House...I guess I was nervous that people would just say a prayer because they wanted "fire insurance" or something.
I went through it, though, and I really loved it. And I am excited to hear about your friend who surrendered to Christ because he wants to live for the Lord and not because he was scared to death by Chandler :)
